The Facts and Norms Institute is thrilled to share that our distinguished researcher, Juscaelle Iradukunda, has been appointed as a Rapporteur for the Oxford Reports on International Human Rights Law!
Juscaelle Iradukunda holds a Master’s degree in Law from Università degli studi della Calabria, Italy, and an LL.B. from Université du Lac Tanganyika, Burundi.
In 2021, she coauthored a pivotal report for the Facts and Norms Institute presented to the United Nations, detailing the significant challenges encountered by rural and indigenous communities in Burundi and Brazil.
The Oxford Reports are a publishing, database project from the prestigious Oxford University Press.
In her new role as a Rapporteur for the Oxford Reports, Juscaelle will be writing legal commentary and analysis on decisions made by the African Court on Human and People’s Rights and the African Commission. The appointment follows a competitive recruitment process following criterion such as strong writing, analytical and legal research skills and a demonstrated knowledge of international human rights law. The Facts and Norms Institute is enthusiastic about Juscaelle’s accomplishment and believes that her nuanced understanding and insights will continue to bring forth enlightening perspectives in International Human Rights Law.
